Our Story

Handicraft is one of the oldest cultural heritage of Bengal. BURO Bangladesh, the third largest micro-finance institution of Bangladesh has initiated a new venture of handicrafts called BURO Craft. These handicrafts are made from natural fiber extracted from pineapple leaves and banana trunks. Marketing a variety of handicrafts ranging from decorative articles to useful stuff in the domestic and international markets is the principal objective of this venture.

  In such a way, BURO Bangladesh aims to empower previously trained women and make them financially self-reliant. BURO Bangladesh believes, BURO Craft will unveil a new horizon in the field of Social Business in Bangladesh.
